Hey, I’m Raf and my mission in life is simple. I help successful people get more fulfillment in life by aligning their internal and external self. With 10 years of experience of living in Asia first as an expat then becoming an entrepreneur, having burned out, making a career transition in the financial downturn in 2008 in a new industry in a new location (from Hong Kong to Shanghai), setting up 2 foreign companies in China – finding my spiritual path in the process, closing my own GAP and spiritual awakening – finding true love I was able to find my path and balance my internal and external self. As a result I became happier inside and enjoy my life in the external world.

In the past 8 years I have helped over a 1000 people through my workshops and coaching, to help them find their path and happiness in both life and leadership. I’m in a great place right now and I love helping people to find their path so they can be happy too.Picture1

How do I do it? Very simple, by connecting YOUR dots in life. We will first go through The Suited Monk GAP assessment together to help you become aware of where you are on the life journey. Next we will identify the steps to help you close the GAP so your internal and external self will be aligned. Potential areas of coaching could include, career transition to find your path, personal healing to close the GAP, self-awareness and leading from within.

PS: I am not a Monk, I am not attached to any religion of philosophy or belief system. I believe everyone has their gift and inner power inside of them (MONK), I help my clients to discover this by connecting their dots and enhancing their self-awareness so they can be successful in the MONK and the external world (SUIT).

I live by my principles and values and ALWAYS make a decision according to my Monk. Up till this day I have never compromised no matter how much the Suit return was. If it doesn’t feel right, it simply doesn’t feel right and if it feels right I go for it. This lead me to closing the GAP, a happy life and still being able to be successful externally.

Raf Adams

Raf is the author of The Suited Monk (available at amazon.com), Chief Wisdom Officer and co-founder at Good Leaders Online (www.glo-china.com).

He spends most of his time speaking and teaching on the subject of authenticity in life and organizations such as CEIBS and TEDx. Prior to his current career as a professional speaker and coach, he worked for eight years in sales in an international shipping company.

Raf developed The Suited Monk concept to help other people find happiness and purpose in their life and career. Raf Adams was considered to be successful in the corporate world at a young age by colleagues, friends and family. However, his personal life was anything but successful. He was deeply unhappy in his job, he was struggling to find a sense of purpose and meaning and not happy in his work and life environment.

When he was 27 he experienced a spontaneous awakening which led him to his current career as an author, teacher and speaker specializing in corporate leadership.

It was from his own experience and research that Raf created the Life Journey ® and GAP models which are completely unique in the coaching and personal growth sector.

In today’s society, many of us struggle to experience lasting happiness and contentment and find little purpose orfulfillment in our work and day-to-day lives. Modern society exerts a constant, subtle pressure to conform to the expectations of others, and to seek a version of success that is acceptable to the people around us but that does not necessarily meet our own most heartfelt needs and desires. Even if we manage to reach certain goals, the happiness they bring us rarely lasts long.

Because of this dynamic, some of us suffer deeply and experience a huge gap between the life we really want, with a deep feeling of joy about who we truly are, and the reality of the life we actually have.

Peter Buytaert builds on more than twenty five years of Global and Asia executive management, leadership and entrepreneurial experience and is currently co-founder and Chief Responsibility Officer of GLO – Good Leaders Online

True is a trainer, consultant and executive coach with eight years of experience working with international organizations.
